**MUSIC AND THE BRAIN: LEARN TO SUPPORT STUDENT WELL BEING WITH THE NEUROSEQUENTIAL MODEL**
**Course Prerequisite: Total Beginner Uke or Guitar**
Want to lead music that helps students focus, feel centered, and overcome anxiety? This class is a game-changer! The Neurosequential Model in Education (NME), developed by Dr. Bruce Perry, is a framework that helps educators understand brain development and trauma, focusing on regulating, relating, and then reasoning with students. It emphasizes that learning is only possible when a child is calm and regulated, ensuring educational strategies match the developmental state of the brain, rather than just chronological age.
