AMAISE BEGINNER (Adaptive Music for Achievement in Inclusion and Special Education)
Course Prerequisite: None, but Total Beginner or Above are welcome.
This course is open to any GITC participant interested in adapting music for students with support needs. Instruction will be focused on a intervening or leading music to support student Social Emotion Learning and important cognitive, academic, psychologic and physical goals. This may include training in percussion, uke and electronic instruments. Songwriting, activity participation, lesson brainstorming, and discussion are important parts of the first course in the AMAISE series.
