PART ONE; Total Beginners Learn To Sing, Play, Teach, and Lead Songs for Learning with Young Children

PART TWO; Learn to Facilitate Music Time and Engage Children in Creating Songs for Language Development, Self Expression, and Phonological Awareness

CERTIFICATION IN ECE MUSIC LEADERSHIP

  • During your training with GITC, everyone will learn to play and facilitate music making with steady beat, body rhythms and simple patterns to foster coordination, cross-midline brain development, and number sense.
  • Making music with movement can improve coordination, cooperation, directionality, and following instructions.
  • Simple, small percussion instruments 
  • Exploring musical dynamics with softer/louder, lower/higher, and slower/faster songs
  • Call and response singing for learning timeless songs for young children
  • Hello and Goodbye chants and songs for building belonging and community
  • First experiences observing, exploring, drumming and strumming with a ukulele
  • Songs for learning letter sounds and phonemes
  • Songs for supporting transitions smoothly, safely, and calmly
  • Routines and positive language for self regulation and sharing ukuleles with children
  • Strumming, accompanying, cueing, and singing short songs
  • Learning and teaching songs to help children develop phonological awareness
  • Songs for learning words for to express our feelings and needs
    Writing our own songs for helping children learn the names of the parts of our bodies, animals, clothing, weather, times of the day, important routines, transitions, and more
  • How to create music centers for exploration
