** SONGS AND SONGWRITING FOR PRIMARY GRADE LITERACY LEARNING - A 4-WEEK WORKSHOP**

**Course Prerequisite: Continuing Beginner Uke**

This 4-week workshop introduces you to the ease and joy of strategic student songwriting, with ukuleles, as a developmental approach to boosting student engagement, language, literacy and social skills. The power of music with its undeniable rhythms, captivating melodies, and songs with their meaningful vocabulary and repetitive language patterns can drive learning like nothing else.

You will learn to strum, song-lead, and compose 4 different kinds of songs, each one serving a specific educational purpose. We will work to compose our lyrics for learning together, and to facilitate the process with others, sharing our songs at the end.

Guaranteed to be both fun and useful!

All classes in this series will be taught from 7-8 pm PT / 8-9 pm MT / 9-10 pm CT / 10-11 pm ET.
