INTERMEDIATE UKE IN STANDARD TUNING - a 4-WEEK WORKSHOP

Course Prerequisite: Learn to Play Uke in Standard Tuning

Intermediate Uke in Standard Tuning allows you to advance your learning in Standard Tuning on ukulele. You will begin playing more chords and fuller chord forms as well as learning to play a C scale in Standard Tuning. You’ll also learn the beginning steps of arpeggio fingerpicking! The class will allow you to practice these new chords, strums and fingerpicking at a comfortable pace, and play songs in the keys of C and G! You’ll add a few favorite popular songs to your repertoire, and get practical experience arranging them for student voices using simple echo, call and response techniques, and rounds.

Song Leadership skills in this more advanced class will focus on classroom singing and strumming instruction that includes how to count in/cue students to sing their parts! You’ll also learn how to facilitate writing a collaborative class song in teams, and share best practices with your colleagues.

All classes in this series will be taught from 4-5:15pm PT / 5-6:15pm MT / 6-7:15pm CT / 7-8:15pm ET.
