LEARN TO PLAY UKE IN STANDARD TUNING

Course Prerequisite: Continuing Beginner Uke or above

Learn to Play Ukulele in Standard Tuning is exciting! If you can play in Open C, this class will help you take the next step to learning to play in Standard Tuning. The class begins in Open Tuning but transitions quickly to Standard Tuning. By retuning the 1st G string, you will learn a new way to play your familiar chords after Experienced Beginner. You will play the chord forms you learned earlier in a fuller form, and also begin to play in a new key! You’ll learn how invent your own strumming patterns, too. This class will open your ears to composing songs music-first and lyrics-first while exploring musical dynamics to express a fuller range of emotions and melodic possibilities.

All classes in this series will be taught from 4-5:15pm PT / 5-6:15pm MT / 6-7:15pm CT / 7-8:15pm ET
