How to Start and Lead an After School Ukulele Club with Reagan Duncan
Course Prerequisite: Continuing Beginner Uke
Have you been taking Guitars In The Classroom lessons and feel ready to take it to the next level by teaching your students to play or maybe even start your own ukulele club? Then you’ve found the right class!
This class is geared for elementary educators, but the basic steps will also work for starting a middle school club. You’ll be taken through the whole process step-by-step! Reagan will teach you how to structure, fund, and launch your club, sharing practical tips and successes, as well as leadership strategies. She will also model ways to introduce ukuleles to your students, and share her own personal lesson plans with you including student songwriting, and engagement and refocusing strategies. Boosting SEL as part of each club meeting can make the ukulele club experience a real game changer for students. She’s excited to help you create an experience that provides students with a sense of belonging, confidence, and musical growth.
The course does not cover ukulele or guitar. This is an implementation course.
All classes in this series will be taught from 10-11am PT / 11am-12pm MT / 12-1pm CT / 1-2pm ET.
